One week down and feeling pretty good. I have been keeping up with my
yoga,
zumba and eating healthier. To get me going I have a protein shake in the morning, but after my coffee. Yes, I said coffee and I know those die hard
health fanatics out there are going to disagree with me (and I expect that you will and for the record you are correct) but truth of the matter is....this old lady needs her caffeine! So, I say to you with a word of wisdom, do some research on what is good and what is bad for your own body. Being educated is the best weapon, it truly is! Now don't misunderstand me please, I am capable of foregoing that cup of coffee in the morning indeed, the dilema lies in the fact that I simply do not care to give it up just yet! (These are signs and symptoms of a woman in transformation - do not be alarmed, this is normal and eventually will subdue.) 👍
Anyway, back to where we were -- Me! So, like I was saying, the transformation has been slow but definitely keeping it steady. Now, I must admit that each day has not been high intensity...oh no - for heavens sake - that would kill me! Instead, I focused on doing alot of core strengthening through yoga. I have never tried
yoga before and I am not really sure why not. I can tell those of you who haven't tried it --- go ahead and give it a shot. I have been doing this in the comfort of my own home with noone watching me. I feel alot more energized and "strong" when I do
yoga. It's as if every single bone and muscle in my body are now communicating to each other nicely. Muscles and bones are now partners!
Drinking alot of water too...I increased my intake from maybe 3 cups a day to at least 6. That really isn't alot but again, I am just starting out and getting there slowly. I used to work with a gal who would bring her gallon of water to work everyday and she would fill that sucker up at least 3 times before the end of the work day! Yikes - you know there is such a thing as drinking too much water. I found this out just a couple of years ago when they admitted my mother...she was
overhydrated. They had to cut her intake down quite abit to get her balanced again.
How do I keep getting off track? There is so much to share, I guess I just want to share it ALL - NOW!
It's the food! Yes, I am blaming the food but not in a bad way. The fact is that since I have been eating healthier, my
brain functions differently now. Anywho...let's just agree that there are many benefits of eating clean and healthy. I have a long way to go yet but not going to give up!
Well, enough said - keep you posted on how goes it so til then...be kind to one another!
